Weather Situation
A trough over northwestern Queensland is expected to contract west out of the
state on Friday. A high in the western Tasman Sea will intensify during Thursday
and Friday, extending a firm ridge along the east Queensland coast.

Southeast Gulf, South of Cape Keer-Weer:
Thursday until midnight:  Winds: SE to NE 5 to 10 knots. Inshore afternoon sea
breezes 10 to 15 knots. Seas: 0.7 metre. Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. Scattered
showers and thunderstorms. 
Friday:  Winds: SE to NE 10 to 15 knots. Inshore afternoon sea breezes 10 to 15
knots. Seas: 1.2 metres.  Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms. 
Saturday:  Winds: SE to NE 10 to 15 knots. Inshore afternoon sea breezes 10 to
15 knots.

Northeast Gulf, North of Cape Keer-Weer: 
Thursday until midnight:  Winds: SE to E 10 to 15 knots, becoming variable 5 to
10 knots with inshore sea breezes 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon south of
Cullen Point. Seas: 1.2 metres. Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. Scattered showers
and thunderstorms. 
Friday:  Winds: SE to E 10 to 15 knots. Inshore afternoon sea breezes 10 to 15
knots south of Cullen Point.  Seas: 1.2 metres.  Swell: Less than 1.5 metres.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms. 
Saturday:  Winds: SE to E 10 to 15 knots. Inshore afternoon sea breezes to 10 to
15 knots south of Cullen Point.
